LeBron James gave a valiant attempt to beat the Boston Celtics and make it into the Eastern Conference Finals again.
He fell slightly short.
Now it’s the Detroit Pistons turn.
It’s a tall order to think that the Detroit Pistons should be able to win at least one game in Boston as well as to defend their home court for every single game.
Well, maybe not that second part. After all, Atlanta did that easily enough.
But winning in Boston is not going to be easy.
My prediction is Boston Celtics in 7.
The Detroit Pistons are more of a team than LeBron James and his cohorts, but I don’t think that is much of an advantage against the Boston Celtics. In fact, I think there was a better chance of one guy getting hot in Boston (as LeBron James almost accomplished in game 7) than for the Pistons as a team to all get hot as a group against the Celtics.
The best chance of the Celtics being defeated by an Eastern Conference team is already over with.
The Detroit Pistons will just have to hope that LeBron James can beat out the Celtics next year.
